Janet Pozar
I work in acrylic, mostly painting on canvas. Some of my paintings are mixed media, and some include components such as threads.
I paint for the way it makes me feel. When I am engaged in art making, I am fully caught up in the medium, my tools and my mission. I’ve learned not to think about the piece that I will end up with because the time spent engaged in the creative activity is what is most important to me. I enjoy feeling detached yet completely engaged. When I am engaged in art-making time goes by at a surreal pace. It’s all about the process for me. The product is a bonus.
